Ashley Bates

M.Ed., ALC, NCC, Counselor

Hi! I’m Ashley, and I am a board-certified (NCC) and associate licensed counselor (ALC) under the supervision of Ashley Offord, LPC-S. My goal as a therapist is to create a safe, supportive environment where my clients feel they can share the deepest parts of themselves and their experiences.

About Ashley

I believe that every client is the expert of their own lives and plays a vital role in their journey towards better health and well-being. I have a client-centered approach to counseling my clients while also incorporating strategies and techniques from other approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I aim to help my clients develop compassion for themselves while building new skills that help them reach the goals they set in counseling.

I have experience working with children and adolescents with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, adjustment issues, grief, and other emotional and behavioral problems. I also have experience working with adults on a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, and relationship issues. I have training in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for children and adolescents who have experienced a traumatic situation or event.

I completed my Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies at Auburn University. I continued at Auburn to complete my Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
