Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL)

The CBCL includes three different report forms. The main CBCL is given to parents of children between the ages of 6-18. The Youth Self-Report is administered to adolescents ages 11-18 to obtain information about the child directly. If needed, a teacher report form is also available to gain more insight and information about a child’s behaviors in the classroom.

Issues assessed by the CBCL:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Somatic complaints

  • Thought problems

  • Social problems

  • Attention problems

  • Rule-breaking behavior

  • Aggressive behavior
